1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Mentoshri platform ("Platform", "Service", "We", "Our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "You", "Your") and Mentoshri.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Platform.

2. User Eligibility

Students

  • Must be currently enrolled in a registered educational institution
  • Must provide valid institutional email address or verification
  • Must be at least 13 years of age (or legal age in your jurisdiction)

Alumni

  • Must be a graduate of a registered educational institution
  • Must provide accurate graduation details and professional information
  • Must be willing to engage in mentorship activities

Faculty

  • Must be employed by a registered educational institution
  • Must have institutional authorization to use the platform
  • Must maintain professional conduct at all times

3. User Accounts & Security

Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
  • Each user may maintain only one account per role (student/alumni/faculty)
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized access or security breach
  • Account sharing is strictly prohibited

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use & User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
Post or share offensive, discriminatory, hateful, or inappropriate content
Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation
Upload viruses, malware, or any malicious code
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without prior written consent
Collect or harvest personal information of other users without consent
Engage in commercial solicitation or spam

5. Mentorship Guidelines

For Mentors (Alumni)

  • Provide genuine guidance and support to students
  • Respond to mentorship requests in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional boundaries and ethical conduct
  • Respect confidentiality of student information
  • Not use mentorship for commercial gain or recruitment without disclosure

For Mentees (Students)

  • Be respectful and professional in all communications
  • Be clear about your goals and expectations
  • Value your mentor's time and expertise
  • Not spam multiple mentors with identical requests
  • Provide feedback on mentorship experiences when requested

Mentoshri does not guarantee specific outcomes from mentorship relationships. Success depends on mutual effort and commitment.

6. Content & Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of content you post (messages, resources, profile information)
  • By posting content, you grant Mentoshri a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content for platform operations
  • You represent that you have all necessary rights to post your content
  • You must not post copyrighted material without permission

Our Platform Content

  • All Platform features, design, code, logos, and trademarks are owned by Mentoshri
  • You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Platform
  • Mentoshri name and logo are registered trademarks

7. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Key Privacy Points:

  • We use industry-standard encryption for all data transmission
  • We never sell your personal information to third parties
  • You can request data deletion at any time
  • We comply with applicable data protection regulations

8. Account Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at admin@mentoshri.com.

By Mentoshri

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms and Conditions
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Harm other users or the Platform
  • Remain inactive for an extended period (as determined by institutional policy)

Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease, but certain data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Platform "As Is"

The Platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Accuracy or reliability of user-generated content
  • Specific mentorship outcomes or career results
  • Security against all cyber threats

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mentoshri and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Actions or omissions of other users
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

Mentoshri is a platform that facilitates connections. We are not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcomes of individual mentorship relationships.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via:

  • Platform notifications
  • Email to your registered address
  • Prominent notice on the homepage

Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through:

  1. Good faith negotiation between the parties
  2. Mediation, if negotiation fails
  3. Binding arbitration in accordance with Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
